The Turkey earthquake in February showed us the significance of post-disaster coordination. This disaster was our main motivation for developing the Safety Net Platform.

Problem Statement

Coordination is crucial; however, after natural disasters connecting individuals with services and resources takes serious effort. Without coordination, people find it challenging to meet their needs after the disaster; and it leaves a severe effect that will last a lifetime. This is what our application tries to solve.

Sustainability Goals

Thanks to coordination, people’s economic situation and health will improve. Also, the infrastructure and sustainability of cities will be more robust.

High-level solution

Our solution at a high level is to connect disaster victims with their needs using a single app platform powered by powerful Google products to reduce latency and miscommunication.
